posted here are things that
interest, influence, encourage,
or define me in one way or
another.
or things i find funny.
i twitter.
i flickr.
smoked cajun turkey, ham with homemade pepper glaze, my aunt’s famous hash brown casserole, mom’s homemade cranberry sauce, pumpkin, apple, AND pecan pie, etc, etc, etc…
i am full.
my stomach, as well as my heart.
i wish these family gatherings were captured on video.
it’s hilarious. and the conversations liberally sprinkled with french phrases and old stories and adults busting out james brown dance moves and making fun of ourselves and laughing until we cry…
it’s all priceless.
this is my definition of home.
for now, anyway.
i’m thankful.
i love that my grandmother does genealogy research of our family.
right now, i’m reading info she has compiled which traces back one side of my family to my great-great-great-great-great (for real) grandfather, pierre.
i like knowing my history.

It is scary to me how many things still have the power to pull me away from God.
Thankful that He is more powerful than every one of them. I will keep my eyes on Him.
